The state witnessed Assembly and Lok Sabha 2024 elections on May 13, in which voters from all 175 constituencies participated in a single phase elections. With Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy at the helm, the YSRCP believes that a range of welfare initiatives over the past five years will bring it back to power. During election rallies, the party sought votes in the name of development and welfare and relied heavily on its solid political standing. Meanwhile, the main opposition party, TDP, has allied with BJP and Janasena, leveraging Prime Minister Narendra Modi's popularity.
