Why Did Telangana Anthem Writer Andesri Die Suddenly?

Telangana and the literary world have been deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Andesri, the renowned poet and writer of the Telangana state anthem. Andesri died at his home in Lalaguda at the age of 64. Three days ago, he was unwell because he hadn't taken his blood pressure medication. The doctors at Gandhi Hospital believe Andesri died of a heart attack caused by his neglect of long-term hypertension management. He was rushed to Gandhi Hospital in the early morning, but he died.


The Telangana movement and Telugu literature owe much to Andesri. His poems and songs became a voice for Telangana's pride and aspirations. The state anthem was only one of the many songs he wrote that touched the hearts of millions, earning him respect from political leaders, artists, and the people.

As a mark of respect for his impact, the state government ordered Andesri's funeral to be held with official honors. Several leaders offered heartfelt condolences, remembering Andesri as an integral part of Telangana's identity.
